Compassion is Key
Another month complete for 2024. It went by just as quick as the last and it’s still just as shocking. Talking about the weather has become a common theme within these (almost) monthly posts. As boring as that sounds, it’s genuinely hard NOT to mention it. We’re finally in the season of good weather of Phoenix, the type of weather that makes people stay in this city. It only took until the last week of October to arrive, but at this point I’m just glad it’s here. This has been a busy month of events and lots of friendly faces in the shop. Have I ever mentioned how grateful we are for you?
Celebration after celebration after celebration
We started off the month celebrating our eighth (8) birthday. Yes, 8 whole years. We celebrated with goodie bags, treats, and a special discount for our early bird shoppers. Every year we are mind blown by the amount of customers who show up to give their support. We had a line of 25+ people with big smiles on their faces before the shop even opened. The day was filled with laughter, cheer, and most importantly, love. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Following our birthday party we hosted another LoNo Loop. As a quick reminder, LoNo Loop is a resale event we do a few times a year. We invite our staff and select customers to sell their clothing at the shop over the weekend. Buying second hand is a super sustainable way to shop – I personally love seeing items that have been sitting in my closet be given new life. This round I made one purchase and it's the perfect buttery soft leather jacket from our dear shop friend Lori. Lori makes preloved curated clothing boxes for a living so it only makes sense that she had some really good items to sell. Stay tuned for more and more of these in the future!
We also celebrated two of our staff’s birthdays this month. Happy birthday to our sweet Megan and our sweet Lora. Megan is our newest hire and she is one of the funniest people I know. Lora has been with us for a couple years now and she just keeps on getting better and better. I love celebrations.
Compassion is key
This has been a wonderful October for us. The shop stayed busy and we brought in so many new products, keeping our shelves freshly stocked. October has also been a season of doing our part to get as many people as possible to VOTE. If you’ve been to our shop, you’ve seen our handful of voting posters as well as a Vote capsule from our dear friends Laura Pearl with Flip the Vote and Gabby Klein of Gab Art + Design who designed the capsule. We have buttons, posters, stickers, t-shirts and a FREE Maricopa County voter guide. We highly encourage you to vote, and vote with compassion.
We’re excited for the season ahead and grateful to have you along for it all.
Your shop girl.
